Introduction
Attention all William and Mary Law School alumni! The year is 2023 and it’s time to dust off your graduation caps and head back to campus for a weekend of reminiscing, networking, and partying like it’s 1999 (or whichever year you graduated). The alumni weekend is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and relive the glory days of law school. Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime event!
The Welcome Reception
The weekend kicks off with a welcome reception on Friday night. This is the perfect time to catch up with old classmates over a few drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Don’t be afraid to approach people you don’t recognize, they’re probably just as excited to meet you as you are to meet them. And who knows, you might even make a new friend or business contact.
The Panel Discussions
On Saturday morning, the alumni association will be hosting a series of panel discussions covering a variety of legal topics. This is a great opportunity to learn from some of the best legal minds in the business and stay up to date on the latest trends and developments in your field. And if you happen to doze off during one of the sessions, don’t worry, we won’t judge you.
The Campus Tour
After the panel discussions, take a stroll around campus and see how much has changed since you were last here. Spoiler alert: not much. But that’s okay, because nostalgia is what this weekend is all about. Take a selfie with the statue of Thomas Jefferson, grab a coffee at the Daily Grind, and soak up the memories.
The Tailgate Party
After the campus tour, it’s time to get ready for the main event: the tailgate party! Grab your favorite team’s jersey (or just wear your law school hoodie) and head to the parking lot for some pre-game festivities. We’ll have burgers, hot dogs, and plenty of beer to go around. Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair or two so you can sit back and enjoy the party.
The Football Game
Once you’ve had your fill of food and drink, it’s time to head to the stadium for the big game. This year’s matchup is William and Mary vs. James Madison, so be sure to wear green and gold to show your Tribe pride. And if you’re not a football fan, don’t worry, there will be plenty of other activities going on throughout the day to keep you entertained.
The Class Dinners
After the football game, it’s time to clean up and head to your class dinners. This is a great opportunity to catch up with old classmates and reminisce about the good old days. Whether you’re dining at the Blue Talon Bistro or the Fat Canary, you’re sure to have a great time. And if you’re feeling particularly nostalgic, order the same dish you used to get when you were in law school.
The After Parties
Once dinner is over, it’s time to hit the after parties. Whether you’re dancing the night away at the Lodge or sipping cocktails at the Williamsburg Inn, there’s something for everyone. And who knows, you might even run into a former flame or two (just don’t blame us if things get awkward).
The Farewell Brunch
The weekend wraps up with a farewell brunch on Sunday morning. This is a great opportunity to say goodbye to old friends and make plans for the next alumni weekend. And if you’re feeling particularly brave, share your best law school story with the group (just make sure it’s not too incriminating).
The Conclusion
So there you have it, the William and Mary Law School alumni weekend 2023 in a nutshell. Whether you’re a recent grad or a seasoned veteran, this is a weekend you won’t want to miss. So pack your bags, book your flights, and get ready for a trip down memory lane. We’ll see you on campus!

Alumni Weekend 2023: A Weekend to Remember
Dear blog visitors,
It's with a heavy heart that we bid you farewell from the William and Mary Law School Alumni Weekend 2023. We've had an absolute blast over the last few days, reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, and reliving some of our favorite law school memories.
As we close out this incredible weekend, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on all the fun we've had. From the start, it was clear that this wasn't going to be your average alumni gathering. After all, when you get a group of lawyers together, there's bound to be some shenanigans.
Friday night kicked off with a bang at the Lawyers Gone Wild party. Let's just say we saw some things that we can never unsee. But hey, what happens at Alumni Weekend stays at Alumni Weekend, right?
Saturday was filled with a variety of events, from the alumni panel to the keynote speaker. We even had a special appearance from one of our most famous alumni, who shall remain nameless (but let's just say he's a founding father).
Of course, no law school reunion would be complete without a little friendly competition. The annual softball game was intense, to say the least. You wouldn't believe how competitive these lawyers get on the field.
And let's not forget about the food. The catered meals were top-notch, but the real highlight was the potluck dinner. Who knew so many of our classmates had hidden culinary talents?
All in all, it's been a weekend to remember. We've laughed, we've cried (mostly from laughing), and we've made memories that will last a lifetime.
We hope you've enjoyed following along with our adventures through this blog. If you're an alum who couldn't make it this year, we hope you'll join us for the next one. And if you're a current law student, we hope this gives you a taste of what's to come in your future alumni weekends.
Until next time, keep lawyering on!
